Bob Thompson
Director of Coaching
Bob Thompson brings over two decades of elite-level coaching and playing experience to The Tactical Room. A Boston College alumnus and former professional with the New England Revolution, he has spent the past 18 years coaching at top collegiate programs, including Boston College, Northeastern University, Tufts University, and the University of Massachusetts Lowell, while also working extensively in high-level youth environments.
Bob has guided players who have gone on to professional and international careers. As Director of Coaching for The Tactical Room, he oversees the curriculum and teaching approach, ensuring each session delivers clear tactical detail, meaningful game insight, and a deep understanding of how the game is played at the highest levels.
Abel Wasswa
Director of Player Development
Abel Wasswa is the current U18 Head Coach for the New England Revolution Academy and a former Associate Head Coach at Boston College. With previous coaching experience at Oregon State and UMass Lowell, Abel has built a reputation for developing players as well as for having an elite tactical understanding of the game. His passion for teaching, attention to detail, and ability to simplify complex tactical concepts make him an invaluable part of the Tactical Room team.
